One day closer to the torch relay!
Today Caesar went to the groomers for the full works! Very kindly, Erin, his groomer gave up a day of her holiday to work and groom Caesar for his big day. Thank you so much Erin, we really appreciate it. :o)
Now all we have to do is hope it doesn't rain so Caesar can have dry walks and not get too wet until after the weekend ;o)

Shame on you Wendy for putting an assistance dog at risk, knowing that there are protests taking place during the torch run. What role does your dog have other in all this than raising a bit of media to boost your ego. If you truly loved your dog you would not put him at risk in this manner...any risk is too much risk

The comment was written a full hour before Caesar and I proudly took our place on London Bridge. Those who watched know there was full security and a strong Police escort. At no time were we in any danger, had that been judged to be the case we would have withdrawn.
As an assistance dog who alerts Caesar was of course working, people within the industry would realize the essential role of my assistance dog ...

Shame on those who make comments and don't have any idea what they are talking about! The role Caesar played is a very important one in that he was assisting his partner as he does each and every day! This was an honor! Not something to be hidden! I for one am very proud of this team! What an example they set each and every day for all of us partnered with an assistance dog!
Knowing Wendy personally, I can assure you that she certainly checked everything concerning the safety of Caesar prior to accepting this great honor representing not only all assistance dog partners, but her Country as well!

I personally applaud you Wendy,for having the determination to still have your special day, which you deserve. Shame on the person who doesn't have the nerve to put their name on the blog, as I saw, on BBC News 24, Ceasar was certainly well protected and he loved very minute of his awesome adventure. I saw a more disturbing photo of a person with his assistance dog at a railway station, and allowed the dog to push the button to get in the train. NOW that is definately putting the dog at risk, that was stupid and alarming. Certainly a media stunt to build their ego, so the coward who commented on the blog, go and make comments to people who deserve it.
ONCE AGAIN I SAY WELL DONE WENDY AND CEASAR, and thank you for representing the disabled community so well.

I dont know Wendy personally, but we have been communicating through a hobby we both share and by telephone, email ect for a couple of years now, and I feel I can call her a "friend".
Looking at photos of the Torch Relay Caesar looks very calm and relaxed, I am sure Wendy would never put Caesar at risk, she needs Caesar, she loves Caesar as much as he loves her. I bet there aren't many dogs around treat as well as he is!!
Wendy had a great honour carrying the torch in the UK, we should be very proud of her, not giving her this kind of reply.
I think it boils down to jealousy!!
We all have a right to our opinion, and I would have respected your opinion too had you used a name and not hidden like a coward.
I for one am very proud of you Wendy and Caesar.
